We listen, act, and transform
At North Star Counseling, we understand that many of the challenges people face are influenced by painful experiences, difficult life circumstances, and patterns that can leave them feeling disconnected from themselves and others. Our clinicians have experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families who are navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, stress, anger, life transitions, and relationship challenges.
While trauma is a primary area of focus, we recognize that people are much more than the experiences that have shaped them. We believe therapy is a collaborative process that helps individuals reconnect with their strengths, values, and authentic voice while building the tools needed to move forward with confidence and purpose.
Our approach is compassionate, strengths-based, and tailored to the unique needs of each client. Drawing from evidence-based practices such as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), mindfulness, client-centered therapy, and somatic approaches, we work to support the connection between mind and body while fostering insight, resilience, and growth.
We believe that every person has the capacity for change and healing. By creating a safe, supportive, and collaborative environment, we help clients explore their strengths, clarify their goals, overcome personal challenges, and develop meaningful pathways toward greater well-being, connection, and peace.
At North Star Counseling, our goal is not only to help clients heal from past wounds, but to empower them to thrive in the present and create the future they envision for themselves.
